New Wellspring Team Members

We are happy to announce the hiring of Kevin Bruss as an Investment Analyst and A'Shira Nelson as our Tax Manager.

Kevin Bruss
Investment Analyst

In his new role, Kevin will be responsible for performing due diligence on public and private investment managers and overseeing investment managers recommended in client portfolios. Kevin's background in analyzing market factors that influence asset allocation decisions will help support the firm's quantitative and qualitative approach to the portfolio construction process.

Prior to joining Wellspring Financial Advisors, Kevin spent a year and half as an Analyst at JP Morgan Chase. More recently, Kevin spent more than four years at Hamilton Capital in Columbus, Ohio contributing to client portfolios by covering a variety of asset classes including European equities, US Treasuries, and commodities.

Kevin is a graduate of Ohio University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in Finance and Investments and played on the club hockey team. Kevin enjoys staying active by playing golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He passed his first two levels of the CFA exam and plans to sit for level 3.

A'Shira Nelson
Tax Manager

In her new role, A'Shira will be responsible for the day to day management and oversight of the Wellspring Tax Department. A'Shira will be integral to continuing tax research and forward-looking planning as an essential part of our holistic financial service offering.

Prior to joining Wellspring Financial Advisors, A'Shira spent ten years between public accounting and wealth management. Most recently, A'Shira spent two years as a Tax Manager at Apple Growth Partners.

A'Shira is a graduate of the University of Akron where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. A'Shira is currently on the board of The Ohio Society of CPAs. She received her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 2014.
